Derek Grier

Derek Grier founded Grace Church in Dumfries, Virginia in 1998, growing it from 12 to over 7,000 members and ranking it 5th in the 2022 Outreach Magazine's list of fastest-growing U.S. churches. Ordained by Dr. Myles Munroe in 2008, he leads the Renaissance Leadership Network and serves on the board of ECFA.

 

Bishop Grier also founded Virginia Christian College in 2011, now serving as its Chancellor. He studied business as an undergraduate at Howard University and earned his master's degree from Regent University and a doctorate from Wagner University. He's been honored in the U.S. Congressional Record and has authored books, including "When God Stops" in 2019. He and his wife, Yeromitou, live in northern Virginia with their two adult sons, Derek Jr. and David.

Grace Church began in a high school in 1998 with 12 members. Now in its own facility, it has grown to serve over 5,000 members. Grace Church is best known for its strong teaching ministry, vibrant worship, life-building children and youth departments, emphasis on personal integrity, and community service.
