Dr. Tony Evans is back and ready to set the record straight in a joint interview with Crosswalk along with Pastor Jamaal Bernard, pastor of Christian Cultural Center and host of the OffScript, Evans makes himself clear that God has restored him, I wouldn’t have done it naturally,  now we're planning long term for my son to transition into this role as being Senior Pastor, it probably would've taken a long time for my natural inclination. I can only assume that God allowed events to occur because he wanted to make the shift different than my human timing and to free me up to do some of these things that we are focused on now.

Dr. Evans has released a new book called, Unleashed. “The book was ready before I was restored, but due to that it pushed back until now. “For a long time, my ministry has surrounded the concept of the kingdom and the agenda that is associated with God's rule. We call it the Kingdom agenda, the visible manifestation of the comprehensive rule of God over every area of life.” Evans doesn’t shy away from the fact that the concept of the Kingdom Agenda is hard for some believers to understand. “ The roadblock is that we have adopted either intentionally or unintentionally, a platonic view of the world manifested in the division between sacred and secular, rather than viewing all of life as sacred, sacred, means all of life comes under the divine instruction and divine rule, so that division which we've allowed to infiltrate the church on politics, on race, on economics, etc has limited our engagement with an experience of God's interfacing with us.”

Evans is the father of four children, who are all in ministry and influential. When asked what his formula was for raising four children who are in ministry, Evans is quick to credit his widowed wife Lois “I got to credit my late wife Lois for that, we worked together, but she just had such a strong, loving motherly influence. The other thing is that we, started something early on and that is having meals together and around those meals., It wasn't just for eating, but it was for leading and teaching and discipleship. So, we used that table.”
