Trust is easy to talk about when life feels steady.
It becomes much more difficult when the diagnosis arrives, the relationship changes, the job disappears, the financial pressure grows, or the prayer you have repeated for months still seems unanswered.
Trials confront us with how little we can control.
We cannot always change what happened.
We cannot see what is coming next.
We cannot force an answer from God or rush the timeline of His work.
That uncertainty can leave us anxious, disappointed, or even afraid to hope.
But trust does not require us to deny those emotions.
Biblical trust is not pretending the trial does not hurt. It is bringing our pain honestly to God while choosing to believe that His character has not changed.
He is still good when the circumstances are not.
He is still present when we cannot feel Him.
He is still working when we cannot see evidence of progress.
Trials may shake the things we once depended upon, but they can also teach us to place our deepest confidence in the One who cannot be shaken.
“When I am afraid, I put my trust in you.”
— Psalm 56:3
